Billy Dreher Island is Lake
Murray's only State Park, and consists of 348 acres and 12 miles of shoreline.

restrooms, picnic tables, shelters, playground, store, hiking trails, primitive
camping, campsites with facilities, lakeside camping, vacation villas,
fishing, boat ramp

Directions from Chapin:
Go west from Chapin on US-76
just under 1 mile. Turn left at St. Peters Church Road (SC-29) and
go 3.6 miles to Dreher Island Rd (SC-231). Follow signs. |

Follow US #378 west out
of Lexington. Turn right 2.0 miles beyond where US #1 and US #378 split
and go north on Wise Ferry Road 0.8 miles. Turn left and follow Old Cherokee
Road 2.3 miles northwest. Turn right onto Brady Porth Road, which leads
up to the gate. |
